Install Apple’s TestFlight on your iPhone. Open your Mnelo invitation email and choose View in TestFlight, then Install.

Access is invitation-only. External testers need Apple’s approval of a build before it becomes available. Installing TestFlight alone does not give you access. Update in place; do not delete the app to update it, because its local history and identity belong to that installation.

Start a new chat and choose a phone contact, or enter a mobile number. The other person must be registered and discoverable. A saved phone-contact name takes precedence over their shared profile name.

Install the latest build available to your test group. Shared contact cards let you message, call or open the phone contact editor. A phone number helps find an account; it is not an independent check of its encryption identity.

The sender needs internet access to upload an encrypted message. Once accepted by the service, it can wait up to 30 days for the recipient to reconnect. Both apps do not need to be open together. Open Mnelo after reconnecting if background delivery was restricted.

A push notification alone does not confirm receipt. Mnelo updates delivery and read status from the recipient’s acknowledgements. If delivery still fails, report the build and steps through TestFlight without including the conversation.

Allow Mnelo notifications in iPhone Settings and check Me → Notifications. Registration prompts for permission, but iOS requires you to choose Allow. The app cannot override a denied permission.

Allow microphone access for calls, and camera access for video. Both phones need a working connection. Background calls and notifications remain part of real-device beta testing; a missed push cannot substitute for delivered call information.

No. Phone verification confirms access to a number. It does not recover your previous encryption identity or message history.

Keep exported history and any encryption key separately. Current chat exports are readable copies, not a way to restore the encrypted messaging identity. Automatic cloud synchronization and lost-key recovery are not complete.

Deleting local history removes your device’s copy. The other person keeps theirs. Exported backups are separate copies and must be removed from your chosen storage destination if you no longer want them.
