01 / Delete a conversation

Your local conversation is removed.

Their conversation stays with them.

Open the conversation menu in Mnelo and choose local history deletion. Your other conversations and registration are not removed by that action.

A few things to keep in mind.

A backup is another copy

Other people’s histories and files you exported are not remotely deleted. Remove unwanted backup archives from the storage destination you chose. Keep any recovery key you still need safe; do not share it in feedback.

Local erase and unlinking are different

Local erase removes this device’s Mnelo history and identity. Unlinking removes its phone registration, push routes, published messaging keys and associated queued deliveries. It does not erase delivered copies on other devices or exports. Aggregate SMS budget counters and provider retention rules are separate.

If your phone or key is lost

Mnelo cannot restore history or replace its encryption identity from an SMS code alone. Lost-key ownership recovery is not yet complete.

You can request account deletion by email below even without the app. Support must verify ownership before changing a registration; a request is not a completed deletion. Never send a recovery key.

Request account deletion

Email g.devd1@gmail.com with the subject ‘Mnelo account deletion’. Identify the registered mobile number, including its country code, and tell us if you can still open the app. We will use this information to handle the request and verify ownership. Sending an email opens a support request; it does not immediately delete data.
